About Ingrid
Ingrid is a creative, natural collaborator and will draw on these qualities to shape the best day possible for you and your loved ones.
She is delighted to be a Celebrant, drawing on experience as a workplace facilitator, coach, researcher and narrator as well as her background in marketing, customer service and hospitality. She will collaborate with you to create a beautiful unforgettable celebration of your love. Ingrid graduated from the leading-edge Australian Celebrations Celebrant program early in 2024, she is fresh and enthusiastic to be the best Celebrant she can be for you. She also holds a Master of Coaching Psychology, qualifications in business, marketing and hospitality.
Ingrid married her husband Hamish in 2002 on Hamilton Island – a place they love to visit, connecting with family and their awesome wedding planner (now Celebrant) Kylie McIntosh.
Kylie kept us calm and upbeat, guiding us through the whole process, listening to our ideas and sharing hers…she made us laugh along the way. She was totally on board when we wanted to dance out of the chapel with all our guests to ABBA! We love Kylie!
In her downtime, Ingrid can usually be found in or near the ocean with her family or swim buddies. Ingrid is passionately involved in community approaches to mental health and wellbeing, supporting non-profit surf community OneWave.
She started ‘Swim for Ukraine’ with her local surf and swim clubs, enabling recently arrived Ukrainian’s to enjoy the healing power of being in the water, safely. The program has been nominated for several awards and even got a mention in parliament. Ingrid has been an active patroller at Bronte surf club for over ten years and volunteer at Icebergs Swim Club. In 2023, Ingrid was awarded the Patron’s Award at Bronte Surf Club, Nomination for Community Education Program of the Year at the Surf Life Saving Sydney Branch Awards of Excellence, Nominated in the Waverley Local hero Awards and NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards.
